Online, Offline & Off-system explained
eAdventist makes electronic membership transfers possible by connecting every Seventh-day Adventist church in the world - whether they use eAdventist or not.
Conferences
The conference plays a key role in connecting churches and companies. Every conference in the North American Division uses eAdventist for membership records, so they are all considered Online.
Since conferences other world division do not use eAdventist, they are considered Offline.
Churches & Companies
When a church clerk has an eAdventist account and processes membership transfers electronically, the church is considered Online.
When a clerk does not process membership transfers electronically, they rely on the Conference Clerk to process their transfers electronically and the church is considered to be Offline.
If a church is outside of the North American Division, its conference does not use eAdventist and the church is considered to be Off-system.
NOTE: Many off-system churches use ACMS - a membership application provided by the General Conference. There aren't currently any "bridges" between eAdventist and ACMS, but we are planning to implement some in the near future.
