Email - Including a video in your message

Videos can be a great way to communicate with your email subscribers. Unfortunately, many major email clients (including Outlook, Gmail, Windows Mail) will block any videos that you embed - because of the security risks. Many email designers create a still image from the video and add a "play" icon to the image, to provide a cue that it's a video.
