Church, Company or Group
eAdventist uses the 3 "Organization types" for Congregations that are outlined in the Church Manual.
Church
- Organized by pastor, in cooperation with conference
- Has officers and members
- Membership transfers are voted by Church Board
Company
- Members are officially held in Conference Church or "mother" church
- Membership transfers are voted by the Conference Committee - since the Company does not have a board
Conferences track statistics (e.g. baptisms, transfers, deaths) for each Company, so eAdventist handle member record identically for both Churches and Companies.
Group
- Can include "Small group, house church or church planting core group"
- Members are officially held in Conference Church or "mother" church
eAdventist tracks both the "Mission Group" and Church for the people in a Group.
