How to set up an iPad for Kiosk Check-in
Using an iPad for Kiosk Check-in takes advantage of the "Guided Access" feature in iPadOS, and allows members and guests to check themselves in.
Step 1: Create a Home Screen shortcut to eAdventist's kiosk page
Before initiating Guided Access, you need to create a shortcut to the Kiosk page:
- Open the Safari app.
- Navigate to eAdventist's kiosk page (https://eadventist.net/kiosk).
- Tap the "share" icon (a box with an arrow pointing up).
- Tap the "View more" button.
- Select Add to Home Screen.
- Customize the name and tap Add.
The home screen should now have an icon to the eAdventist kiosk.
Step 2: Enable Guided Access
- Open the Settings app.
- Select Accessibility.
- Scroll down and in the General section, select Guided Access.
- Toggle the Guided Access to ON (green) and select Passcode Settings.
- Choose Set Guided Access Passcode.
- Enter and re-enter your desired passcode for Guided Access.
Step 3: Launch Kiosk
- From your home screen, tap on the shortcut for eAdventist Check-in, created in Step 1 above.

Triple click the top button. If the iPad is in horizontal orientation, this button will be on the top, left.
- If your iPad model has a Home (circular) button on the front, triple click this instead.
- You should see Guided Access appear at the top. Tap Start in the top, right corner.
Step 4: How to exit Guided Access

- Enter your Guided Access passcode.
- Select End in the top, left corner.
